| Sherri Colvin has been sculpting in a variety of media and scales since 1989. She received her BFA with a sculpture concentration in 1994, but not until recently did she become intrigued with miniature scale. Trained in academic figurative work, interpreting the human form was always an interest in her artistic endeavors. Sherri has ventured into portraiture and more expressionistic landscape painting. In 2005, her career in architecture inspired the creation of a three- story Georgian dollhouse for her two nieces, Liv and Sarah. With the girls' house nearing completion, and needing occupants, Sherri made her first twelfth scale figure . From that day on, creating little folk from clay became a passion.
Sherri is a member of IGMA, International Guild of Miniature Artisans.
